codeShare: A Call for Hits

codeShare

Every good application needs to be tested right?  Right!  So this is my call for testers!  We have some VERY COOL things in the works for codeShare but before they launch we need your help.  We want to make sure that the current site is up to snuff and that people like what we’re doing.  If you have a moment check out codeShare and share some code.  Just test out the tool and the site and let me know if it meets your expectations or if you have any suggestions.

Cool Concept. Few things I noticed. When I get to the 'Review' page (and follow the link as well) I notice that the code does not retain my formatting (i.e.: keep the code indentation). Personally I would find this critical, especially in a large block of code. I also noticed this on the 'pop-out', where it was indented in the Cut-N-Paste section, but not in the Pop Out section. I also don't think you need both. The Cut-N-Paste is the value here, don't duplicate you efforts/output. My opinion, others may differ.

Cutter,
Thank you so much for the feed back, I really appreciate it. Can you share with my your codeShare URL so I can check out the indention? Below is an example of some code that is indenting properly.

Ryan,

No, I was just testing it out earlier at home and never saved the URL. It does look correct in the example you've listed. One other thing that I did notice (in both our examples) is the 'Cut-N-Paste' code block, the first line is over indented, as if it has four or five tabs.

BTW, love the concept. I'll have to create an account to get a better idea of what you're doing here.
